2016: 

- Sonia Martín López received the "Ayuda a la Extensión Internacional de Patentes mediante PCT" from Universidad de Alcalá

Sonia Martín received the "Accésit-1er Premio a la Mejor Patente Nacionalfor the patent "Sistema y método de caracterización distribuida de variaciones de índice de refracción de una fibra óptica" from Universidad de Alcalá

- Hugo Martins received the "2016 Best Poster Award" in the 6th European Workshop on Optical Fibre Sensors 2016 (EWOFS 2016) for the paper "Dynamic distributed measurement of temperature changes using phase-sensitive OTDR with chirped pulses" from SFI

- Andrés García Ruiz received the "Best Student Paper Award" in the 6th Asia Pacific Optical Sensors Conference (APOS 2016) for the paper "Single-Shot Distributed Strain Vibration Measurements Over >10km Using Phase-Sensitive OTDR with Chirped Pulses" from OSA, SPIE, IEEE, COS, CSOE, LUSTER LightTech Group

 

2015: 

- Miguel González Herráez, Sonia Martín López, Juan Diego Ania Castañón (CSIC), Pedro Corredera (CSIC) received the "Premio a la mejor patente - X Edición Madrid+d)" for the patent "Sistema para le mejora del rango dinámico y la reducción de la incertidumbre de medida en sensores distribuidos sobre fibra óptica" from Comunidad de Madrid

 

2014:

- Sonia Martin Lopez received the "Ayuda a la extensión Internacional de patentes por el procedimiento PCTfrom Universidad de Alcalá

Alexia López-Gil, Alejandro Domínguez-López, Sonia Martín-López, Miguel González-Herráez received the "Alan Rogers Best Paper Award" in the 23rd International Conference on Optical Fibre Sensors (OFS'23) for the paper "Simple method for the elimination of polarization noise in BOTDA using balance detection of orthogonally polarized Stokes and anti-Stokes probe sidebands" from SPIE

- Miguel González Herráez received the "Miguel Catalán - Young Investigator Awards 2014" from Comunidad de Madrid

 

2013:

- Xabier Angulo Vinuesa received the "Best Paper Award" in the 5th European Workshop on Optical Fiber Sensors (EWOFS 2013) for the paper "Turning a low Q resonator into a high-sensitivity displacement sensor using slow light concepts" from SPIE

 

2012:

Xabier Angulo Vinuesa received the "Best paper award" in the 22nd International Conference on Optical Sensors (OFS'22) for the paper "100 km BOTDA Temperature Sensor with Sub-meter Resolution" from SPIE

 

2011:

Xabier Angulo Vinuesa received the "Best paper award" in Reunión Española de Optoelectrónica (OPTOEL'11) from SPIE
