CSIC publishes a 'ranking' of the 5000 most outstanding Spanish scientists

The Centre for Scientific Research (CSIC) has published its first classification with the 5,000 foreign Spanish scientists who carry out research in Spanish organizations, classified according to the indicators of their public personal profiles in the Google Scholar database, a search engine specialized in content and scientific bibliography. Sonia Martin-Lopez, researcher of the photonic engineering research group (GRIFO) represents the UAH on this list along with 40 researchers.

The CSIC is the most represented organization with 633 profiles, followed by the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), with 292; the University of Barcelona (UB), with 218; the University of Granada (UGR), with 208; and the Universitat de València (UV), with 138. In addition, there are 162 researchers who indicate affiliations abroad. There are about 500 institutions performed in total. Universidad de Alcalá is represented with 40 researchers. In addition, Sonia Martin-Lopez, researcher of the photonic engineering research group (GRIFO) is in position 1858.
